Don't Stop Believing? Well...Maybe Start With Thinking...

Full #confession --I was almost completely WRONG about what I expected the outcome to be of the last #project I worked on. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ Based on preliminary discussions I thought I had a pretty good handle on what the issues were and where I'd be headed re. recommendations. NOPE! ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿป Fortunately, I use a #designthinking based approach to #problemsolving. That means BEFORE I let my BELIEFS get the better of me, I get a 360 degree look at the issues. Background material helps. Leading practices provide direction ๐Ÿงญand one-on-one #interviews with all involved? ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏin how they build #empathy#empathy and understanding. Where I started (beliefs in full tow) and where I ended (after much investigation and a LOT more THINKING) were very different places. How many of us (me included), start a project with a set expectation of exactly what the outcome will be??? Are you set in your belief it will 100% work or are you curious about where the path of #testing #learning and #thinking#thinking will take you? ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’ก

While I am a big fan of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽตmaybe there should be a Weird Al counter song called "Don't Stop the Thinking!" Do you have a system in place to make sure your beliefs don't lead you astray? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค” Need some help putting one in place? Then let's chat!
