How might we make a #healthcare experience more like a #spa experience??? Every time I sit in the super-depressing waiting room of my #outpatient infusion clinic, I ask myself this question.
It's dreary, it's riddled with have eaten posters and a gazillion STOP!!! signs all around.
Would it take a ton of money to fix?
Nope.
Recently I went to a spa in a super-old Scarborough medical building. The entry door was broken, the hall was pretty worn, but once I stepped into the spa space?
A calm, tranquil and soothing world awaited... 🕯 🧘♀️ 😌
Isn't this what patients need? Especially if they're about to get jabbed 😖 💉💉
Why does anyone need 24-hour news blaring in the background?? 😩
It would appear I'm not the first one to think about this (shocker I know). But I must admit to being a little surprised when I found out the sophisticated peeps at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. offer an Excellence in Healthcare leadership training program.
As a #patient, this is definitely something I can get behind! Somehow I think this might cost a ton of money though... 😆
